Timber Resource Group (TRG) is a
wood procurement,
timberland services and
forest products marketing company based in New England. It is our job to purchase various types of wood products - sawlogs, veneer logs, boltwood, fiber and others - for various mills or markets located throughout New England, Quebec and beyond, as well as to provide professional forestry and timberland management services to private and public forestland owners.
TRG is closely associated with well established customer mills that represent stable, competitive markets in the wood products industry. Our job is to facilitate log and other forest products transactions among logging contractors, landowners, truckers and the highest value markets.
Full-time
log buyers in assigned territories throughout New England make procurement arrangements with suppliers of all species and grades of logs to be delivered into 10 strategically located wood concentration yards or delivered directly to a customer mill.
All TRG
log yards are operated by full-time licensed wood scalers who utilize the equipment necessary to efficiently unload and load trucks, use handheld computer data/scale recorders, and scale and sort each log to its highest and best use.
Our goal is to supply the log supplier with stable and competitive markets on a long-term basis, and TRG is committed to paying suppliers promptly. Our weekly log payroll system provides suppliers with a single check for all logs delivered to TRG log yards, accompanied by a weekly settlement report which itemizes the disposition and payment for each log.
TRG Timberland Services, comprised of licensed professional foresters, provides a wide range of services to New England landowners.
